PAUL ANTHONY

THEN:

Paul started out as a DJ at the ripe old age of 14.

He worked for EMI as a Disc Jockey for 7 years between 1972 and 1979, and worked with a host of UK and US celebrities from Freddie Star to Diana Ross, before moving to Rank Leisure where he worked their venues for 5 years.

In 1983 Paul worked freelance for various venues and radio work started with Radio Veronica (a Dutch offshore radio station).

He then worked a little for Radio Luxembourg, doing the 208 roadshows with Tony Blewit.

The next 10 years, saw Paul move overseas working as a DJ in various countries and venues from Denmark to India, before moving to Ibiza for a few years where he worked for Pacha, the nightclub franchise doing 70s and soul nights.

1999 saw Paul’s return to the UK, where he took a well-deserved short break!

NOW:

Paul is a regular on 103 The Eye and currently does 3 shows a week for the station.

Paul is also on Glo Time radio (www.myradiostreamglo-time.com) doing 3 very popular shows a week, with listeners from around the world tuning in.

And that’s not all! He also does one show a week on Kewl 98 in New Jersey

Paul specialises in running celebrity gigs and special parties, e.g. celebrity birthdays as a disc jockey.

He specialises in 70s or 80s sounds, as well as soul nights from Motown to Northern Soul.

More recently Paul worked with The Commitments as compere and music host. He did the warm up on the decks before the band came on, and another hour when the band had finished.

Paul has over 2.5m tracks in a database that he carries around with him.
