TONY PRINCE

ROYAL RULER

Tony was born into a working class life in Oldham, an only child to a scrap metal worker.  His gran was a landlady and his family also owned a pub for a time.

 

At 15 he became an apprentice jockey in Yorkshire sharing a jockey’s life with with Willie Carson.

 

In 1959 he borrowed Ringo Starr’s cowboy boots to enter a singing contest at Butlins Holiday Camp where he won a boot polish kit!. Here he met a group of musicians from his home town who invited him to be the lead singer. They were widely popular in Lancashire and known as The Jasons. Read More...

EMPEROR ROSKO

Emperor Rosko is a well known radio presenter. Born Michael Joseph Pasternak, he is the son of Hollywood film producer Joe Pasternak. He was influenced in his career-choice by KYA Radio Los Angeles DJs, Emperor Hudson and Wolfman Jack.  Rosko’s opportunity to broadcast came whilst in the US Navy where he presented a show on an aircraft carrier. He then went to Europe and hosted sponsored programmes in France and Belgium.

 

He joined Radio Caroline, a pirate radio station broadcasting from a ship off the coast of England in 1964.  There, his pacey American style soon made Rosko one of the station’s best loved DJs. He then was heard on French language stations Radio Monte Carlo and Radio Luxembourg. Read More...

PETER ANTONY

Peter "PA" Antony is a writer/broadcaster, best known for being a radio DJ on Radio Luxembourg 208 from 1985 to1991.

 

He has also worked on WISH FM and Mercury FM in Surrey, and has a much followed Saturday show on Radio Caroline. Read more...

PAUL ANTHONY

 

Paul started out as a DJ at the ripe old age of 14.

He worked for EMI as a Disc Jockey for 7 years between 1972 and 1979, and worked with a host of UK and US celebrities from Freddie Star to Diana Ross, before moving to Rank Leisure where he worked their venues for 5 years. Read more...
